As a continuation of our #WeAreTheConsigned campaign, we wanted to explore the gear we carry with us on a daily basis, the tools we use for our creative expression which aid us in our creative process. Discover what’s inside Consigned’s Creative Director, Robert’s Zane Backpack.
I designed this camera strap to be adjustable so it can be worn over your neck or as a cross body strap. It works perfectly with my Fujifilm X100F when I am out for the day shooting.
2. Fujifilm X100F
I take my Fujifilm everywhere with me. It’s a great, little, versatile camera that is perfect for street photography.
3. Macbook Pro – 15″
I travel a lot with work, so I will always take my laptop with me. It’s super important to me for working on the go. You never know when you will need to design another bag!
I designed this bag to be practical for everyday use. It has an internal 15-inch laptop sleeve to keep my laptop safe and enough internal storage for my day-to-day gear. When worn it has a clean cut, streamlined profile and sits comfortable on your back. With the double clip fastenings there is easy access to your gear. The gunmetal clips add detail to the minimal design whilst also keeping your valuables secure.
5. AiAiAi TMA-2 Headphones
I am partial to a bit of DJing now and then. I host a lot of parties, which has led to me picking up all the essential DJing gear. These deliver great sound quality and are my daily headphones. Having a creative job, I am always listening to music whilst working.
6. Apple Magic Mouse 2
I can work much more efficiently when using my mouse over my laptop’s track pad when working on a design job.
7. DJI Osmo Pocket
This is a mini gimbal camera perfect for documenting my creative process. Like my Fujifilm, I take this everywhere with me to capture videos when travelling for work. I am currently working on a short video capturing my creative process, which we will be releasing soon!
8. Native North Sunglasses
These were gifted to me by the owner of Native North, Morten Hvidsted. We used to live in China together, at the time I was starting Consigned and he was starting his brand Native North.
9. Moleskine Notebook
I always carry a notebook with me. This is where I write down any thoughts I may have or any inspiration I may come across which I will use when designing new bags and collections. I find it important to work on paper for initial sketches before moving onto my laptop.
10. Pen
Picked up from a market in Seoul.
